You can get access to HorizonWells under several circumstances:

• Your company or organization has access to HorizonWells and you need a new user account.
  Please use the form found here to input your initial account information. Once you submit your request, HorizonWells staff or your organization's HorizonWells administrator will review it and activate your account. You will receive an email when your account is ready to be used.
• Your company or organization uses Horizon Well Logging, Inc. wellsite services or technology and would like to use HorizonWells for well data.
  Please contact your Horizon Well Logging representative to inquire about service specifics and set up an account for your organization.
• You are evaluating online well data services and would like to try HorizonWells.
  HorizonWells has test accounts available, complete with real-time well data and example reports, logs, and other files. To get access, please contact Horizon Well Logging.

Your password can be reset if you remember the answer to your security question and have access to the email address used for your account. To do so, please click here.

If you can't remember the answer to your security question or have changed email addresses, please contact your HorizonWells administrator.

For security reasons, users are automatically logged out after 20 minutes with no activity. This will not happen on pages with real-time data feeds.

To set a default well to go to after logging in, please go to the Profile configuration page.

HorizonWells has been tested on Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8, Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox 2 and 3, Opera 9, and Apple Safari 3. Minor visual differences may be noticed when using multiple browsers.

HorizonWells has been optimized for Apple's Mobile Safari (available on iPhone and iPod Touch hardware) and RIM's Blackberry Browser.

HorizonWells operates on a secure server with a VeriSign-approved security certificate. When accessed through https://www.horizonwells.com, all data being transferred between our server and your computer is protected by 128-bit encryption through Secure Socket Layer technology.

HorizonWells provides maps of well locations via the Microsoft Virtual Earth mapping service. The Virtual Earth map data is not sent from a secure server and so you may receive a warning message. Rest assured, no sensitive information is being sent to insecure servers by HorizonWells.

If you are using Internet Explorer and would like to stop these warnings from appearing on this site:

1. Click on the Tools menu at the top of the window, then select Internet Options.
2. Click on the Security tab.
3. Click on the Trusted Sites icon, then click on the Sites... button.
4. Type in https://www.horizonwells.com and click Add.
5. Click on the Custom level... button.
6. Scroll through the list to find Display mixed content and click Enable under it, then click OK.
7. Click Close, then click OK.

• Your well may not have been recently active.
  Make sure that you select the "All Wells" option in the lower right of the well list page.
• Your well may not be set up on the HorizonWells site yet.
  To get your well set up on HorizonWells, please contact your Horizon Well Logging representative.
• Your account may not have the appropriate permissions to view your well information.
  Please contact your HorizonWells administrator or a Horizon Well Logging representative to have your account adjusted.

Wells are normally tagged as "recently active" if they have had any Real-Time Data updates, new Calendar or Contacts entries, or new well files uploaded within 14 days. Some wells may be listed as "recently active" for a longer amount of time at the discretion of a HorizonWells administrator.

The frequency of the real-time data updates is dependent on the connection speed available at the well location. The standard update frequency is once per second.

The desktop web interface defaults to refreshing data every 2 seconds for numeric fields and every 10-60 seconds for curves (depending on the time scale). These can be configured for better operation on slow connections.

Scheduled Updates are sent automatically at the scheduled times with a one minute resolution.
Real-time Data Notifications are within seconds of the alert condition being triggered.
With any emails, delays can occur at intermediate locations between our server and your mailbox. It may take up to several minutes to receive an email.

Most major cellular carriers allow you to receive emails as SMS text messages on your mobile phone. The email address for your phone is usually your full mobile number (ten digits including area code in the US) @mobile.yourcarrier.com.

You should confirm the correct address format with your mobile phone carrier before relying on it for important notifications.

HorizonWells' file management supports any type of file. Commonly used file types are PDF documents, Word and Excel documents, HWL log files, plain-text, CSV, and LAS files, GIF, TIFF, and JPEG image files, and ZIP compressed archives.

HorizonWells allows files up to 2 gigabytes in size to be uploaded. Maximum file sizes may be limited by the amount of space allocated to a particular well.
